My Kid Still Eats the Snacks I Swore Off

My Kid Still Eats the Snacks I Swore Off

The honest truth about trying to live “clean” in a not-so-clean world.

My kid still eats snacks I said we’d never buy again.
My partner brings home stuff my customers would absolutely side-eye.
Meanwhile, I run a business built around clean living.

It’s messy. And that’s the truth.

We’re Not There Yet—and That’s Okay

Some days our meals are fresh and thoughtful.
Other days, dinner is built from what we had the energy to grab.
Some mornings I feel good about what’s on the shelves.
Other nights I stare at the fridge and think, we’re not doing enough.

But I’ve learned something: change doesn’t look like a Pinterest board.
It looks like small shifts. Repeated.
It looks like a home in transition.

It’s Not Just Food. It’s Everything

The deeper I go, the more I realize this shift isn’t just about what we eat.
It’s the hand soap.
The shampoo.
The cleaner I spray around my kid’s toys.

We are surrounded by choices—many of them sold as normal—that don’t actually align with the kind of foundation I want to build in my home.

And when you start seeing it… it’s impossible not to.

You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Care Deeply

If you’re in a season where you want better, but you’re living with what you’ve got
Welcome. You’re not alone.

If your partner or kids aren’t fully on board yet—
That’s normal.

If you’re torn between what’s in your heart and what’s in your cupboards—
That’s real life.

You’re allowed to care and still be in the middle of figuring it out.
That’s where most of us live.

Why I Built Budelas

I didn’t create Budelas because I had it all figured out.
I created it because I didn’t.

I started with a farmstand—not a shiny online store.
It was just a simple stand on the side of the road, offering the kind of food I wanted my family to eat.
Fresh. Sustainable. And Supportive.
And while the stand was humble, it became a place where families stopped by, connected, and started thinking differently about what they were putting in their bodies.

But I knew it had to be more.
I wanted to offer access to cleaner products, like cleaning supplies and wellness goods, to help people who were making small but powerful shifts in their homes.

Budelas evolved from that stand—an honest, real, and messy starting point—into a mission that reaches further, but never forgets its roots.

You’re Already Doing the Work

If you’ve read this far, it’s because you care.
Not in a “trendy wellness” way—but in a real, soul-tugging, I-want-better-for-my-family way.

And that matters.

Whether you’re swapping out your soap, rethinking snacks, or just learning about what’s really in your home…
You’re already doing the work.

You don’t have to tear everything down to build something better. Sometimes, it’s about starting with what we have, and making small but meaningful changes along the way.

This Isn’t Just a Website. It’s a Movement—with Dirt Under Its Nails

Budelas didn’t start as a polished business.
It began as a farmstand—a little corner of my life where the mess, the dirt, and the care all came together. It’s grown into a bigger mission, but we’re still grounded in the same idea: real change starts with small, intentional actions.

That’s why Budelas is more than just an online store—it’s a community of people who want to build healthier homes, together.

🛒 When you’re ready for that next swap—food, cleaning, wellness—I'm here.
